Regular Activities

Afternoon Teas are served in the Boys’ Brigade on Wednesdays from 2pm to 4pm, between Easter and the Heritage Open Day in September.

Our Bible Study Group meets every month in members’ homes and follows short courses on different themes.

The Bible Book Club also meets monthly either at Afternoon Teas or in Number 54 Tearooms to discuss one or more books of the Bible.

The Moravian Women’s Association meets on the Wednesday following Communion Sunday at 7.30pm (2.00pm in the winter months) in members’ homes.  The MWA was introduced for the meeting of Moravian Church Sisters for fellowship and friendship and this continues to be the case. A letter from the National President of the MWA, sent to all MWA groups, is read out during the meeting. There is a Devotional paper that includes a text and a reading that follows a theme for that year. In addition to this, there is the Home and Overseas Report, which may discuss a topic or provide information on a project or a charity that is being supported financially by the MWA.

The History Group meets every couple of months at the home of one of our members. There is a speaker on some aspect of Moravian Church or Fulneck History and an average audience of about twenty people.

Fingers and Thumbs meets every month in members’ homes for crafts, refreshments and fellowship.

The Women Together group hold occasional events such as fashion swap shops.

There are also monthly meetings of the Men’s Fellowship in the Boys’ Brigade for games and snooker.

Social and Fundraising Events are organised regularly and advertised in the church notices and newsletter.

Fulneck Dramatic Society puts on three productions a year in the Comenius Centre. They range from tragedy to comedy, farce and pantomime. To find out more use the link below.

Everybody is welcome to attend all of the above meetings and activities, and you do not have to be a congregation member to be involved.
