We welcome all children and young people at Fulneck Church and have activities for all ages.
The usual pattern is that on the first Sunday of the month the children and young people stay in church for all-age worship or we have Café Church in the Boys’ Brigade building, and on the third Sunday of the month the children and young people join the main congregation in church to begin with before going out to the rooms next door to do their own activities. On other Sundays a crèche is available.
At Easter the children have fun creating the Garden of Gethsemane. The annual Easter Egg hunt in the grounds of Fulneck is also extremely popular. At Christmas the children participate in a Nativity Play for the congregation followed by the Toy service where toys are donated to St Georges Crypt.
There are also other special events through the year.
This is for 11 to 18 year olds and usually meets on the third Sunday of the month at one of the churches in the Yorkshire District.
The Moravian Church also offers more for young people. More comprehensive information and photographs can be found on the Moravian Church website (see link). There are week long Summer Camps, Youth Weekends and Children’s festivals.
Fulneck Moravian Church has a Safeguarding Policy, and all our leaders have been DBS checked and receive regular training. We aim to create a happy and caring environment for the children to enjoy their time at Junior Church.
